<p>This easy-to use mat can be printed and laminated, and used with Place Value counters to help children understand how to divide using the bus-stop method of short division.</p> <p>Counters can be placed within each column to represent HTO (can also be used with TO) and the divisor can be written outside of the bus-stop.</p> <p>By partitioning the number to be divided into H, T and O, children can clearly see when a number is divisible by the divisor, or if they have to ‘carry’ a counter over to the adjacent column on the right.</p>
