<p>This resource was used for homework, for year 9 pupils following Studio AQA GCSE Foundation, module 2, page 37.</p>
<p>A full lesson re-capping free time activities, with emphasis as well on word order when you start your sentence with a time phrase.</p>
<p>I used this with my year 8 German class when they came back to school after summer break - hence the emphasis on “was machst du in den Sommerferien”!</p>

<p>A role play about ordering in a restaurant for year 10 pupils, following Stimmt AQA GCSE (Higher) Kapitel 5 (Ich liebe Wien), Activity 9, page 103.</p>
<p>Pupils see a sample dialogue, then create their own in pairs or threes. This includes ordering three courses, complaining about something and a ‘solutuion’ (e.g. never returning, speaking to the manager, not paying). They can then perform in front of the class, and other members can translate what was said during the role play (e.g. reporting back what they ordered or what the problem was).</p>
<p>A mat of important, high frequency phrases either to be stuck into books or printed and placed on desks to encourage target language use in the classroom.</p>

<p>Writing prompts with support vocabulary to support revision for the end of module writing test of module 3 (mon identité) in Studio 2 (Rouge).</p>
<p>Pupils work in pairs to draft answers to the prompt questions, giving as much detail as they can. Support vocabulary down the side can give them further ideas of what to include.</p>

<p>A logic puzzle where pupils must choose dishes to order for themselves and their friends whilst taking into account allergies, preferences and requests. A solution sheet is included.</p>
<p>I have used this resource with classes from year 8 to year 10 (more vocabulary support must be given to lower years).</p>
<p>Pupils must read the three texts from their ‘friends’ and decide what to order from the provided menu based on what they can, cannot, would and would not like to eat. This activity practices fits nicely in Stimmt! Module 5, unit 4 (Ein Wiener Schnitzel, Bitte) as the menu is based around Viennese specialities.</p>
