Each quiz is made up of 10 questions, each following the same order of:</p> <ol> <li>language and literature</li> <li>numeracy</li> <li>world geography</li> <li>history</li> <li>sport</li> <li>science and technology</li> <li>food</li> <li>famous faces</li> <li>jobs/study</li> <li>world news (the content of these questions have been deleted for teachers to insert a recent news event - I usually go for a “here’s the picture, what’s the story” type question)</li> </ol>

<p>The activities within these slides can be used for revising any subject and are suitable for 40-60 minute lessons. Most have a link to a Youtube clip which explains the method of revising and then set students up to complete independent revision.<br /> There are 11 different ways of revising set out on a slide each, simply a time-saver for teachers looking to guide students in some independent revision.</p> <p>These activities were designed for a skills-based course where some lessons would be given for senior students to revise. It is recommended that the teacher decides which revision technique is the focus for a lesson and gets all students to engage with it. This ensures all are on task and the environmental conditions are suitable for everyone in the room (i.e. no group revision at one table while others are trying to focus on independent revision).</p> <p>Many activities require paper/card, pens etc.</p>
