An exciting product design project exploring sustainable and renewable energy sources. It looks at innovative ways to harness natural sources through creative design, making spaces more eco-friendly. The project promotes understanding of renewable energy sources and looks at exciting inventions such as the “Enlil Vertical axis wind turbine”, the “Free Electric Bike”, solar powered products, sun tunnels and rainwater harvesting systems. It gives pupils the opportunity to apply their knowledge to design or adapt a school building/classroom to be more energy efficient and sustainable. The project has been designed for online learning but can be easily adapted to classroom lessons, or extended to create prototypes. PowerPoint and worksheet resource included.
