<p>Lesson covers the three candidates in 1066 who wanted to be king after the death of king Edward. Students will be creating a piece of persuasive writing from the point of view from one of the men stated reasons why they should be king.</p> <p>This lesson is excellent for persuasive writing literacy teaching and teaching prior to the Battle of Hastings.</p> <p>The lesson explores the reasons why the three men wanted to be King with an end to introducing the Battle of Hastings.</p>
