An exam-style question written to assess the Osmosis Required Practical. The student is asked to write a plan to carry out an osmosis-based experiment for a given scenario. The plan is based on the old ISA-style plan and can be assessed using the 1-9 mark ISA grid used for ISA Paper 1s.

Statements linked to digestion demo ‘making poo’. I used the cards with lower ability so they could sort them out. I also made a ppt with pictures showing each stage of the ‘making poo’ and students had to add the correct statements to the correct slide. Includes ‘what the teacher did’ and’ this models…’ statements.<br />
Starter activity to use at the beginning of the topic where students write down what they know about digestion. We then came back to this at the end and repeated in a different colour to show progress.</p>
