A termly project allowing pupils to research and compose world music based on the work of STOMP and their own musical interests.

One worksheet provides a task for pupils to do on their own and then in groups. Opportunities to monitor and assess by using different coloured cards for pupils to show which part of the task they are on.

Three overlapping circles to enable pupils to sort keywords into each.
Keywords are in the text boxes (Relating to musical fusion) but these can be edited.
The music border can also be edited.
Pupils reinforce their learning of key words call and response, polyrhythms, call and response, cyclic rhythms.
Pupils learn about crotchets, quavers and minims and start to write their own rhythms.
Pupils learn the concept of pulse.
Write pupils targets on each key and they can work their way up the keyboard scale. Great way to monitor and assess.
