This free workbook is part of our Victorians workshops. Find out about why the Hall was built and imagine the opening of the Hall and the lives of the different people who would have attended the opening in 1871.

The Tri-Borough Music Hub are working with all the schools in three boroughs of London to ensure the highest quality of music provision is on offer to all children. Their main aim is to provide opportunities for all children to develop a life-long love of music and realise their musical potential whilst developing their personal and social identity. Young people will be able to choose from a broad range of progressive musical opportunities provided in partnership with World Class music organisations.

Classical Spectacular is a dazzling and unique classical music concert with incredible lights, lasers, special effects and cannons that has entertained over one million people at the Royal Albert Hall. The concert is performed by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and the Band of the Welsh Guards. To support the concert, Education produce a teachers' pack for this event.

Education launched this unique cross-curricular project in September 2010. Using the Hall's Victorian frieze as a starting point students were encouraged to use art to explore issues surrounding history and citizenship. The resources produced for this project will be available to download free shortly.

TES partner The Royal Albert Hall along with television presenters Dallas Campbell (pictured left) and Yan Wong joined together to present the world’s first science lesson to be streamed live to classrooms around the world. What is sound? - was recorded live on 11 October and it is now available for you and your class to watch back whenever you like. The lesson was part of the Royal Albert Hall's aim to increase access, innovation and education in the arts and sciences.
