This is a revision material for GCSE students studying the new AQA English Language course (first examination Jun 2017).<br /> <br /> It gives a brief overview of what is expected in both Paper 1 and Paper 2 of the Language course and gives a breakdown of how to tackle each question. It does focus on use of SQuID and PEC paragraphs.<br /> <br /> I have used this by printing and laminating a class set and using for revision basis. This has also been used on the students' homework system for them to access from home and help with revision there too.

A scheme of work based on ppts. for the new GCSE LIT course.<br /> <br /> Includes use of SQuID paragraphs (can be changed) and lots of group activities. Does not have to be used in order.<br /> <br /> A small lesson was done where students researched their own context so there isn't a 'context' lesson as such. Similarly with themes, students were given themes and then researched for homework and fed back to the class.

A complete scheme and set of resources for a mixed ability yr9 group, heading towards work for their GCSE. Lots of extract analysis, structure and language work. Assessment included. Some resources missing, as in specific text books.

A collection of poems in pairs for direct comparison. The idea was to use them as practice for the A2 section of the Literature course, a comparison of unseen poems. <br /> <br /> There is also a selection of questions at the end, drawing the poems together to practice essay writing skills.

Quick grammar activity using an image to get students using different sentence starters.

Questions are worded to focus on ideas that could form part of the exam questions.</p> <p>Can be adapted to suit different plays (someone in my department has adapted to suit Much Ado About Nothing).</p>
