This is a little more than three week plan based on Stone Age Boy. It has been planned to be used at the beginning of Year 3 but can be altered, SPAG games in particular, as needed to suit your class. It includes many short burst writing activities culminating in a final week where the children plan, write and edit their own version of the story.

This is the FULL version of my inference booklet. It has 20 pages of comprehension activities ready to print and use. It is suitable for years 3/4. T It contains original texts with corresponding questions that will help your student’s comprehension skills. The questions are designed to have them retrieving information, using clues like a detective to infer as well as commenting on how author’s choice can contribute to the meaning of the text. An extension activity gives them the chance to show off what they visualise when they read and summarise the text or to predict what will happen next.
