<p>Y6 is coming to a close shortly therefore we decided to let them choose their own topic to discuss. Each activity they will have completed their own indepedent research for.<br /> Week two of publishing has much shorter lessons due to Ramadan and the children’s fasting schedule.</p> <p>WEEK ONE:<br /> Lesson one: Understand the difference between Standard and non-standard English and when it is appropriate to use them.<br /> Lesson two: Deconstruct a balanced argument, identify its key features and their purpose. [Full credit to balanced debate WAGOLL Site where I found this WAGOLL and updated it myself].<br /> Lesson three: Use facts and statistics appropriately to support our argument.<br /> Lesson four: Use modal verbs and adverbs appropriately to persuade the reader to support our perspective.<br /> Lesson five: Use our prior knowledge to spell a range of words with different rules.
