An A3 field of daisies that can be used to teach and practice sampling with quadrats. I use mini quadrats made from pipe cleaners and laminate the sheets.
Useful for when it's cold and wet outside, or for quick revision of sampling skills.
A revision lesson about the calculations in C2. Aimed at a lower ability group, it covers relative atomic mass, relative formula mass, percentage by mass and percentage yield. To play the question race, split class into small teams and give them the first question. They need to bring you the answer - if it's correct then they get the next question etc. The winning team is the first to answer all the questions.
A card sort for food chains, with examples from the Lion King. Also has some keywords to be matched with the examples and their definitions. Suitable for KS3 or KS4 to recap food chains.
These Facebook status exit passes can be laminated and used at the end of the lesson (or any time really) to get feedback from students. I use them in conjunction with the questions on the Powerpoint (which I have adapted from http://www.tes.co.uk/teaching-resource/Make-Your-Own-AFL-Box-6299850) - simply start the slideshow and press 's&' to get a random question that the students have to answer on their exit passes.
