These lessons were created and taught to a mixed ability year 8 set. The scheme focuses on how drama and comedy are created in the first half of the play. Some of these resources are adapted from others taken from TES.

This unit was planned and used to teach a low ability year 9 about comparative poetry. It uses a lot of the poems from the old AQA anthology (other cultures). Some resources have been adapted from others on TES.

A revision pack for students studying ‘Pigeon English’. There are some activities included but it is mostly content revision of plot, themes, characters, symbols and context. At the back there is some guidance for analysing quotations as well as grade 4&5 skills, including example answers and example questions. I created this with lower ability students in mind, mostly those targeted grades 3-5 but some parts can easily be adapted for those aiming for higher grades. For the ‘chapter summary’ section, I have taken out the summaries as they were largely not my own work - look at ‘Aby’s English Tuition’ for good chapter summaries.

Lessons created and used for Nigel Hinton's Collision Course (the play version). This was created for a low ability year 9 class to focus on developing their PEE and analysing skills. The play does not take long to get through, though!
