<p>A resource pack for Section B of Component 3 (written examination) for Edexcel A level Drama and Theatre based on COLDER THAN HERE by Laura Wade.</p> <p>This is a** 21 page resource** which contains:</p> <ul> <li>advice on revision and focus points in the exam</li> <li>terminology reminders to help with revision</li> <li>4 top band example essay responses on ‘Colder than Here’ with commentary/advice that can translate to their exam/revision and the opportunity for students to mark it and write their own notes.<br /> Response 1: PERFORMER - non-verbal communication response JENNA<br /> Response 2: DESIGNER - sound<br /> Response 3: DESIGNER - costume (writing about 2 characters - JENNA and HARRIET)<br /> Response 4: PERFORMER - voice and gesture ALEC</li> <li>5 example Section B ‘papers’ for the students to have a go at as part of their revision.</li> </ul> <p>The examples are all the higher end and detailed.</p>

<p>A useful revision task that students can do in a copy of their play script from now until the exam (some extra room needed) to get down the following:<br /> -Set ideas and concept<br /> -Costume and make up<br /> -Sound and Lighting</p> <ul> <li>Voice and movement</li> </ul> <p>I completed my own version for my year 13s and they have gone away and used this for their own scene to include their own ideas. They have found this really useful and has aided them to focus on the skills they will need to use in their examination.</p> <p>I find this helps the higher ability see the level of depth expected (and I get them to add more on Laura Wade’s intentions, audience impact etc) and lower ability - to give them some ideas to inspire them (especially with the technical responses).</p> <p>Please let me know if this is helpful.</p>
