<p>A complete Hunger Games scheme of work to study book/film one. Lessons work chronologically through the film, supported with extracts from the book, until the point of the start of the games.</p> <p>A full PPT with 57 slides making up 5 separate lessons (that I taught across 6 hours including an assessment hour) - all with a starter activity and plenary question. I then let the students watch the remainder of the film in the last week of term.</p> <p>Lesson titles are:<br /> Pre reading and chapter 1<br /> The Reaping<br /> District 12 Vs. The Capitol<br /> Character Analysis (followed by an assessment question on Katniss Everdeen)<br /> From the interviews to the Cornucopia</p> <p>All lessons are fully resources and the PPT guides you through the lesson plan.<br /> I have used this with great success for both Y8 and Y9 classes.</p>

<p>A complete scheme of work for Designing Your Own Utopia with the objective of completing a piece of persuasive viewpoint writing in the form of a manifesto encouraging people to move to your utopia.</p> <p>A full PPT with 41 slides making up 5 separate lessons (that I taught across 5 hours) - all with a starter activity and plenary question. I graded students against speaking and listening criteria as they presented their manifestos to the class.</p> <p>Lesson titles are:<br /> Problems with our Current Society (analysing general election campaign material)<br /> Creating my Own Utopian Society (name, ethos, rules, flag)<br /> Using persuasive techniques (DAFOREST)<br /> Writing my manifesto (including a ‘spot the techniques’ within an exemplar)<br /> Class Presentations (including good presentation technique)</p> <p>All lessons are fully resources and the PPT guides you through the lesson plan.<br /> I have used this with great success for both Y8 and Y9 classes.</p>

<p>A blank factfile and then 16 individual powerpoints on different countries with all the info you need to complete the factfile (*note you will also need an Atlas to locate the country and info from the data sets at the back).</p> <p>Factfile Info includes:<br /> -Geographical Info (eg continent/capital city)<br /> -Population info (total pop and life expectancy)<br /> -Economy (eg currency and GDP)<br /> -Popular landmarks<br /> -Traditional food<br /> -Famous people from the country<br /> -A written task<br /> -Space to draw the flag.</p> <p>Countries included = USA, Russia, Japan, Brazil, Australia, Spain, Sweden, Egypt, Colombia, France, Peru, Fiji, China, Italy, Poland, New Zealand.</p> <p>All planned and ready to go. Great for Geography/general knowledge/cover lessons.</p>
