<p>These lessons are designed to introduce A-Level English Language students to the topic of Child Language Acquisition. From phonetics to Chomsky’s theoretical views, the content for this module is explored in depth.</p>

<p>These lessons focus on Angelou’s poem <em>Still I Rise</em> and her biography <em>When the Caged Bird Sings</em>. They allow students to conduct a literary analysis of both texts, whilst considering the socio-political context that shaped her literature.</p>

<p>This GCSE scheme explores the characters, themes, key quotes and context of Blood Brothers. Knowledge recall questions are placed into every lesson, as well as scaffolded writing structures, to differentiate learning for students with different abilities.</p> <p>Techniques such as foreshadowing and dramatic irony are examined alongside contextual factors to encourage students to consider the playwright’s intentions. Russell’s political critique of the socio-economic status of Liverpool is foregrounded to allow students to consider the deeper, didactic messages of the play.</p>
