Gender neutral Spanish/ Inclusive Spanish/ LGBTQ+
This a resource to help students learn key vocabulary for sexual orientation and gender identity while expanding cultural and historical knowledge of LGBTQ+ in the Hispanic world.
This resource gets students to consider how language can become more inclusive, and how to write gender neutral Spanish, despite not yet being reconized by la RAE, which is also addressed within the slides.
Students then get to practice their own use of gender neutral language.
This lesson would be appropriate after students have learnt how normal adjectives are formed in the Spanish Language, as well as having learnt how to describe physical and personality characteristics of themselves and others.
Perfect for year 9 Spanish and the new 2026 GCSE specification.
