Each lesson contains a traffic light multiple choice question to check understanding that can be answered with thumbs up or traffic light pages in student planners if available. The lessons use a range of activity types to engage students and lead them through some more difficult tasks such as balancing equations. Based on Exploring Science specification Noughts and crosses grid provided, students to complete this in pairs, taking turns to write the answer to a question in one of the boxes. If their partner verifies it is right they get to put an X or O in their box, if it is wrong they can steal it! A very competitive revision activity that channels energy into focusing on key content - could be given as an individual task though - see how many you can answer/can you answer boxes in a certain shape/4 in a row etc
