A collection of 6 lessons covering the main concepts of both Exploring Science 9G and 9H that are most relevant to the Edexcel GCSE syllabus. The lessons include a standard starter slide using low stakes recall practise of previous lessons and concepts. Each lesson contains a traffic light multiple choice question to check understanding that can be answered with thumbs up or traffic light pages in student planners if available.The lessons use a range of activity types to engage students and lead them through some more difficult tasks such as balancing equations. A lesson based on the Exploring Science scheme containing the following tasks: Speaking frame on how oxygen gets into our cells Targeted questions on adaptations of the gas exchange system Anaerobic thinking map Noughts and crosses grid as a paired activity Any tasks can be easily adapted to the needs of your students, the Os and Xs activity can be used by itself as a good revision activity at the end of a topic or during retrieval practice for older year groups.
