I wrote this teacher marked essay to send as written work for my Oxford application to study Music, and ended up getting a conditional offer! It was also practice for my Eduqas music mock (November of Year 13), where one of the last questions asks about an element of music in Western Classical symphonic works from 1750 to 1900. I didn’t do this in exam conditions. It’s considerably longer than the amount I’m usually able to write in the exam, as the written work requirement for the Oxford application was much higher. The mark I got was 13/15.
