<p>Ready to teach resource for years 6-8 (KS3), that explores the professional work of Mathew Bourne and his contemporary ballet ‘The Nutcracker’. Over the course of a term, students learn the choreographic method of ‘Chance Dance’ and use this to create their own choreography.</p> <p>SOW includes cross curricular links to English and History, using Dickensian themes and the Victorian period as a stimulus for movement.</p> <p>SOW builds to a Final Performance which can be used as a summative assessment, and includes a free worksheet resource for student self assessment and pupil feedback.</p>
