Using the White Rose Mastery Assessment tools - this is a treasure hunt which leads children through an exciting variety of questions linked to dinosaurs - mainly number and calculations based - that will challenge their mastery of concepts in Maths. Each hunt is colour coded so that different groups can explore together and differentiation is possible.
Download includes 3 files - a Year 2-3 version (yellow), Year 3-4 version (blue) and Year 5-6 version (green).

Differentiated activity using real data. Used during a week based on Natural Disasters. Requires chn to answer analytical questions on a bar chart then create their own.
Links with Ancient Egyptians and the items buried with ancient Pharaohs. Short, creative activity to get children thinking about change with personal and global history.
The purpose of this resource is to be used on one day for 10-15mins, chn complete and assess and record their score. Then, another few days later chn complete the second quiz which consists of very similar questions but slightly different numbers or approches to the objective. Chn then assess the second and the aim is to beat their own score from the first quiz.
Many questions are multiple choice, some short answer questions and very few require more than 2mins thought.
(I do the first quiz on Fri, they take home to practise and review, then do the second on Mon but of course is up to you)
This is to be done about 3 weeks after a unit/topic has been covered to support retrieval practice.
These are based on Y6 objectives and I am planning to complete for the whole Maths Curriculum for Y6. If people are interested I will work on other year groups.

A simple reading activity where the chn have to spot 'ea&' grapheme in a sentence and indicate which sentences do have that grapheme. Differentiated. Linked to &';Jack and the Beanstalk' story.
Great artistic technique which the whole class can engage with. Used as an effective introduction to Stories from other Cultures to present the concept of culture.
A simple sheet that pupils can use to gather data on how their class gets to school. Blank boxes at bottom for class names so chn can cross off names of people they've asked.
This worksheet requires children to know how to find the area of a square, rectangle, parallelogram and a circle. They use this knowledge to find the area of the parallelogram with the lighter blue shape's area taken away. Suitable for Year 6 and up.
An engaging investigation in order to develop children's understanding of factors. Idea given on the Nrich website which is also included. Good opportunity for mixed ability group work to use mathematical discussion.
A simple writing activity where chn have to help Chicken Licken reach the King's Palace by writing &'or&'; words in the boxes along his path.
This was given as a paired activity where partner A wrote in box 1, partner B in box 2, then partner A in box 3 etc.
Was very effective but can also be used for individual work and boxes can be removed for differentiation.
An easy to understand game involving the documents here and a dice. Reinforces to learners that plants need water, sunlight, space, soil and air (carbon dioxide) to grow.
Colour-coded word problems to allow chn to choose their level to work at and decide own learning.

Format is easy to edit for any purpose.
A short presentation based on Standard English with a short activity at the end, in which chn have to convert non-standard English to the Standard English.
Used this to allow LA to begin to understand how to use and interpret a frequency table. Allowed them to access the learning of what a frequency table is before attempting to draw one themselves.
Blank template for posing questions to an Ancient or Modern Olympian. Good to use at the end of the unit. Have chn role play as an Ancient or Modern Olympian and answer questions posed to them by their classmates.
For a unit on exploring the Local Area. Children can use this activity to complete on the route and requires sketching, looking for housing types and land use.
