Number Patterns Sequences 2,5,10 forwards and backwards

(0)
Year 1 Learning Objective - I can identify a forward and backward counting number pattern where the first number is missing. I can fill in the missing numbers. First identify which pattern the sequence is in and circle it in the emoji think bubble. Decide whether the pattern goes forwards and backwards and then fill in the missing numbers. The activity is differentiated on three different sheets (easiest I1 up to I3). I have also cut each question up and laminated it then it can be used again and again and again!

I have devised this reusable activity for my Reception/Year 1 children. I have a few children who still struggle to count accurately so this activity just gives them an extra opportunity to practice one to one correspondence. I printed them out and then laminated them as individual number card. Children choose a card, count the pictures on the card and then clip a peg onto the corresponding number.

Tricky Word Wall - cursive

To use as a working wall. A permanent display to help your class when doing independent writing. It links with letters and sounds but I have also added a few extra words that we tend to use a lot when writing. Each word has a unique colour and shape so if a child asks how do you spell ‘me’ you can say ‘it is in the yellow triangle’. I have also done the same words in sassoon if you would prefer. Type Tricky word wall - sassoon I have also add them both as editable so you could add your own words but you will need publisher. Tricky word wall - sassoon - editable

Aimed at Year 1 children. Consolidate knowledge of pairs of numbers that total 10. Total the spots on a given number of dice by first finding pairs of dice that total ten and then adding them altogether. The worksheet progresses in difficulty as the child works through the sheet. On the first page spots total between 11 and 15, the second page between 13 and 21 and the third page children total the spots on up to eight dice with a total of 33 spots.
