These two lessons focus on the events of 9/11 using/analysing Simon Armitage's Out of the Blue. All of the skills and LOs are linked to AQA 2017 specification. Includes video links and resources with glossary (as in the AQA lang paper). These lessons were used as part of a war SOW as the second lesson discusses issues around war on terror and involves a lot of SMSC discussions.

This lesson focuses on the new AQA specification language paper 1 question 2 - language analysis (AO2). This lesson gives step by step instructions for learners on how to respond to this question. Easily adaptable for different extracts and also comes with a student workbook which can be used for revision and a lesson plan.
