<p>This lesson gives a brief overview of the History of Disability before and during the 20th century. It looks at the treatment of those with disabilities and how societal attitudes have changed.</p>
<p>There are seven wonders of the Ancient World: The Great Pyramids of Giza, the Hanging Gardens of Babylon, the Temple of Artemis at Ephesus, the Statue of Zeus at Olympia, Mausoleum at Halicarnassus, Colossus of Rhodes, Lighthouse of Alexandria. This unit examines their relevance today, culturally and historically, with a one lesson overview and seven lessons looking at each.</p>
<p>A SOL is included and each lesson with relevant resources. Powerful knowledge is included in each lesson with do now tasks, AFL and lesson plans to match each.</p>

<p>A lesson briefly examining the history of the African continent prior to Transatlantic enslavement. This ideally serves as a precursor to the study of enslaved people as well as a starting point to a wider examination of African histories beyond enslavement.</p>
