<p>This lesson covers the food production section of ecology. (Spec point 4.7.5 Food production (biology only))</p> <p>Areas of focus are food security, sustainable fishing, farming techniques and biotechnology. This can be split into 2 lessons if needed. (GM food is not included as it can be covered in inheritance, variation and evolution topic)</p> <p>This lesson includes a variety of activities from food security group discussions to farming techniques cloze activity . Students are able to work independently or part of a group. There are multiple opportunities for students to apply their knowledge to exam questions with some differenciated between standard and high demand.</p> <p>Video clips are embedded into images where mentioned and with URL’s and extra notes in notes section of the ppt slides.</p>

Students are able to work independently or part of a group. Where content is only for separates I have put an ‘S’ at the top of the slide.</p> <p>This lesson also includes accompanying revision worksheets that work alongside the lesson or can be given to students separately as revision homework. There are 2 sheets for separate and 2 for combined (it is made clear which sheets are separate or combined on the side of the slide). Each sheet also has accompanying exam questions which can be printed on the back of the revision sheet. I have attached these questions on a word document with answers.</p>
