Finding the gradient of a straight line

(3)
Following on from plotting a straight line graph in the form y = mx + c. This lesson is designed to teach students the concept of gradient and leads into the ability to find the equation of a line from 2 given points. I have used aspects of another resource on here on the last page. For a mid set year 10.

Surface Area

This lesson is a fantastic way to bring surface area in to pupils minds. I used wrapping presents as a way of working with surface area. This resources introduces a couple of examples that demonstrate surface area and then allow them to get straight into it. This was for a top set year 10 so they do not need lots of input. This could also be used as a consolidation lesson. Please give any feedback. Thanks.

I struggled to find a useful resource for a top set Year 11 triple Physics group so I have pulled together bits that I could find! Please let me know if you have any feedback!

Introduction of Fractions

A simple easy to follow powerpoint that goes over what a fraction is, names of the 'top' and 'bottom'. Gets pupils to find some of their own, moving on to equivalents and simplifying. For a lower ability 9 initially, but would work with anybody.
