<p>BTEC TECH Award in Sport 2022 - Tracker</p> <p>This tracker is designed to be used for the BTEC TECH Award in Sport 2022.</p> <p>All the relevant columns are included on the tracker, including:</p> <ol> <li>Component 1 (3 tasks)</li> <li>Component 2 (4 tasks)</li> <li>Component 3 (exam result)</li> </ol> <p>The tracker is formatted to calculate a total raw score from each component/task, which can be converted to a BTEC TECH Award grade.</p> <p>A column has also been added for pupil’s target grades to ensure quick comparisons of actual grade to target grade can be considered.</p>

<p>The two PowerPoints included are:</p> <p>Component 1 Powerpoint - Component 1: Preparing Participants to Take Part in Sport and Physical Activity</p> <p>Learning Outcomes:<br /> A – Explore types and provision of sport and physical activity for different types of participant<br /> B – Examine equipment and technology required for participants to use when taking part in sport and physical activity<br /> C – Be able to prepare participants to take part in sport and physical activity</p> <p>This 1st PowerPoint also includes introductory slides for the beginning of the course, outlining the course overview and each component.</p> <p>Component 2 PowerPoint - Component 2: Taking Part and Improving Other Participants Sporting Performance</p> <p>Learning Outcomes:</p> <p>A – Understand how different components of fitness are used in different physical activities.<br /> B – Be able to participate in sport and understand the roles and responsibilities of officials.<br /> C – Demonstrate ways to improve participants sporting techniques.</p> <p>Both components are coursework based and these PowerPoints are specifically based on the new 2022 BTEC TECH Award in Sport specification. All specific terminology is used throughout the PowerPoints and pupils have an opportunity to work individually and collaboratively. Each Learning Outcome is clearly outlined on each slide and thought-provoking visual aids are utilised.</p> <p>Support statements are provided to assist lower ability pupils and links to Government websites and Youtube videos are provided which are relevant to the course and enable pupils to develop a comprehensive understanding of the key content before applying their understanding in their coursework.</p>

Excellent lesson plan which is inclusive for all and is differentiate throughout. This was used for an Ofsted visit and it provides the opportunity for modelling the learning outcomes.

This resource can be used for KS3 or KS4. This was predominantly set up for KS3 and has been an excellent method to revise and used as a resource to create flash cards. This document is double sided and has all key concepts, ideas and keywords included.

This plan will provide the foundations of a successful lesson and resources can be added to it if required. The plan is clear and includes leadership responsibilities to challenge particular students where appropriate. The plan has a logical structure in order to achieve each learning outcome; warm up, skill drill, conditioned game and plenary.</p>

This if a full lesson, including lesson plan on selective breeding. This was graded as outstanding as it promotes literacy through a debate. Character cards are included and this lesson is ideal for KS3. This lesson encounters challenge through the use of socratic questioning, also included in the package.

This was used as an observation lesson and included in the bundle is the lesson plan, peer assessment worksheet, PowerPoint, differentiated tables and a tick list to measure confidence before and after in relation to the lesson/topic of blood to show progress from the start to the end of the lesson.<br /> This lesson clearly demonstrates progress throughout and provides the opportunity for differentiation in every activity. The lesson starts with a tick list sheet to students can gauge where there understanding is before the lesson has started and they refer to this later on to show an increase in confidence and progress. The lesson has a marketplace activity with differentiated resources attaches and challenge questions for students to achieve above and beyond with their learning.

Excellent engaging activity for the start of a P.E lesson to enable all students to be engaged in the lesson from the changing rooms to the area of work in a P.E lesson. Students can use the cards to quiz each other in relation to the key rules and regulations of the sport.
