This resource consists of two documents with questions which focus on the AQA separate science content; one for higher students and the other for foundation. Each contains 63 questions, split into 21 weeks, with students completing one question from each discipline each week.

One of my pet hates as a teacher is when students say “use the same ruler” as a control variable for this experiment. So this slide and the next slide can be used to talk about why theoretically the type of ruler should not make a difference (unless they have significantly different surface areas). You can then also get students to find out whether there actually is a significant difference, by getting them to carry out the ruler drop test as detailed on slide 4. This will get students to come up with there own method and then consider how to make there experiment accurate, valid, precise and repeatable. This excellent revision resource is a selection of very difficult exam style questions based on GCSE Biology. It is 128 marks worth of questions, with eight 6 mark questions. From my own personal experience, this will fill two revision lessons, and will help to create links between the different modules. Could be used with A Level Biology students at the start of the year to bridge the gap between GCSE and A Level.
