This is the entirety of the work that I did for GCSE AQA Media - Assignment 1 - music videos. A host of lessons and resources I pulled together into one upload. Looking at Goodwin's theory of music videos and it's relation the effect on audience. Has a number of worksheets and resources which were made for students not suited to what I would call a full written response. Use and change as you see fit!

This are very much a template, I have used these with my class as we have developed the resource. Add to, share, criticise, ask for additions as you wish. I have used them in conjuction with some paid for mock questions, however I have removed the slides that contained them. Will continue to add to them as I go, more sharing them now for the links to news broadcasts I uploaded to youtube.

Have made this as part of the first lesson for my new y10 group. My only experience so far was picking a group up at Y11, so I am trying to nail some of the short comings that group had early, as we start our school year in July now as part of advanced roll forward. This is designed for a 80 minute lesson, it has a 10 minute introduction video (link included) that I made specifically for the class I am teaching, breakdown of what is included and why is in the powerpoint. Hello, and welcome to the news… This is my introduction lesson (80 minute format) for the 2015 exam topic - Introduction to Television news. It has a link to 20 minutes worth of clips from the BBC, ITV and sky news from the same day 2/11/14 and has an introduction to the concepts of codes and conventions, representations, audience. The introduction to looking at Jurassic world

This is the plan I have been building/using as we have gone through assignment 1 for GCSE AQA Media. Using Magazines/comics for assignment 1. It contains a range of starters, activities and ideas that I have used to develop my classes knowledge and coursework as we have gone along. Please note this is very much a working document so may need some tidying as it goes.

This is a series of work I have been doing with my new Y10 group, previously I had a y11 group that struggled with the practical concept as they hadn't had any experience prior to the final unit. There is a brief (so the pupils get used to working in this way) as well as a lesson plan powerpoint, worksheets, activity and check sheet for the pupils. Currently we are having to use Movie Maker, so have included a guide I made for the pupils that I used as cover work.
