<p>A GCSE tracker of all Language and Literature units (divided into sections) for WJEC GCSE. Includes formulas to automatically calculate grades.</p> <p>For Literature, if once pupil lists and tiers are inputted, you will need to change the formula title from (higher) to (foundation) but leave everything else in the formula as it is.</p> <p>All you need to do for your department to use this is input pupil names and targets and then marks achieved on past papers/ non examined assessments and the rest is done for you!</p> <p>This is made using a combination of boundaries having mostly been taken from 2019 (pre-covid) however adaptations have been made to adjust these in line with 2024 boundaries if these were harsher but, in my opinion, I’d prefer to have my trackers calculate grades on a worst case scenario boundary!</p> <p>Please note this is designed around WJEC but should not take much to convert to other exam boards if you are able to fill in the grade boundary tabs with the relevant tabs.</p>

<p>A set of lessons which guide pupils through analysing features of Tony Curtis’ ‘To my Father’ and John Tripp’s ‘Walnut Tree Forge’ for the poetry comparison coursework (Welsh Writing in English).</p> <p>Please note, these lessons do not feature much in the way of additional activities as I have those as separate files which I’ll upload later. These lessons feature copies of the poem with series of questions to support thorough analysis of each poem - ideal for departments where subject specialism/ confidence is low!</p> <p>There is then a lesson helping pupils to draw thoughtful comparisons between them.</p>

<p>Just a quick resource to hand out to pupils to support them when analysing extracts. This features questions on both language and structure to help them look for key features.</p> <p>I have these laminated to hand out across a range of texts/ classes!</p>

<p>An assessment criteria which blends the English descriptors of learning and the literacy framework which is similar in principle to the old style APP assessment grids.</p> <p>I’ve split the criteria across two assessment frames: reading/ listening &amp; responding for analysis work and then communcation &amp; creating for written/ spoken assessments.</p> <p>The final section deals with descriptors which are more pedagogy focussed as opposed to assessment based.</p>

As such, the main focus is upon securing the skills needed for the Extract anaslysis question as my Year 10 unit of work builds up to also include the character/ thematic question in addition.</p> <p>This unit follows a chapter by chapter lesson format so would also suit KS3 for schools in England where it is no longer on the GCSE specification!</p> <p>The Year 10 scheme of work and accomanying revision unit will also be available shortly.</p>
