A worksheet with a set of 8 column subtraction calculations, each with a different deliberate mistake (all except number 5, which is correct). I searched the internet for something like this and couldn't find one. So I had to make it. It's a PDF, I'm afraid, since it was easier for me to write them out by hand than work out how to do it on a computer. Also I didn't do an answer sheet. But then you're maths teachers, so I'm sure you'll manage to work them out !

This is an assembly my class did last term. It is based very loosely on an assembly by H A Crook (to whom thanks is due). I have changed and added much, though. I have written a song (mostly about Zeus' infidelities!) to the tune of Gary Barlow's "Let Me Go". One of the files included with this has the chords for it, so you'll need a musician to accompany you (they are not difficult chords, though).

Here are 3 levels of fraction of amounts word problems in which children will also have to use other operations. There is an answer sheet and, in case the levels aren't to your liking (or you want to change the details of the problems) an editable Word 2003 file, too.
