<p>The resources feature two assessment plans for the new BTEC Tech Award in Health &amp; Social Care.</p> <p>The first assessment plan is 2017 - 2019 and applies to current Year 11’s studying this qualification over two years.</p> <p>The second assessment plan is 2018 - 2020 and applies to current Year 10’s who have started this course in Year 9 but assessment practice can only take place from Year 10 onwards. This plan assumes that the delivery of Component 1 has been carried out in Year 9 and the assignment activities begin at the start of Year 10.</p> <p>Each assessment plan follows Pearson guidelines and incorporates the 15 day resubmission rule after IV has taken place.</p>

<p>In this pack, you will find all teaching and learning materials, activities and a detailed lesson plan that I put together for a formal lesson observation (by SLT) with my Year 12 BTEC Business students who are studying the BTEC National Extended Certificate in Business, Unit 1, Learning Aim A.</p> <p>This particular lesson focuses on A2 Stakeholders and their influence and is designed to really get students thinking about stakeholders, their influence and power. It includes differentiated learning objectives, as well as differentiated tasks / extension activities to stretch and challenge, higher order questioning following Bloom’s Taxonomy as well as peer assessment opportunities.</p> <p>The lesson was graded outstanding.</p> <p>Thanks</p>
