Who is the resource for, and what is it? This is a teaching resource for secondary school or college teachers of PSHCE / CITIZENSHIP HISTORY / POLITICS covering the importance of voting, and including the link for voting for: Make Your Mark - a list of 10 key issues facing young people. The topic with the most votes will drive the campaigns of Surrey Youth Cabinet and the UK Youth Parliament for the next two years. Member of Youth Parliament (MYP) elections - we have 5 candidates running for 3 available seats. Those selected will represent the young people of Surrey for a 2-year term, through local and national campaigns. The powerpoint has links to the speeches of each MYP candidate and the voting link, and the document has their written manifestos. Who is eligible? Young people aged 11-18 (or up to 25 if they have additional needs or disabilities), who live, work, or study in Surrey.
