This is a full scheme of lessons with high quality resources, full assessments, peer and teacher assessment sheets for marking as well as several observation standard lessons. This has been designed to be taught to year 8 but could easily be adapted or applied to any year group.<br /> <br /> This scheme has been created to teach KS3 the skills required for the new AQA GCSE Language Paper One. Therefore, I have used a variety of gothic texts and extracts to teach the skills required for questions one to five from that specific paper. This includes identifying implicit and explicit information, analysing language techniques, analysing structure and structural techniques, creating an argument as well as creative writing including writing to describe and writing a narrative. I have also focused on teaching how to explore effects of specific techniques rather than general analysis.
