Square and Cube Numbers (with roots)

(3)
NQT resource - any feedback would be amazing!

This resource was made for a middle ability year 7 class and covers a few lessons. Builds from an investigation on square and cube numbers into applying these skills in calculations. Questions and answers are all on the powerpoint. I have taken a couple of slides from other TES authors. I did also create a little help-sheet for the students that required them but these aren't great which is why I have not uploaded them!

Enjoy!

This lesson was designed for a very low ability class of Year 8's. It could easily be used for KS2 as well. It focuses on my students interests of the online game fortnight and theme parks (Disney Land and Thorpe Park). Differentiated worksheets with answers are included. Let me know what you think!

A lesson on Averages including Range. The bulk of the PowerPoint was taken from PIXI and Mistrym03 and adapted slightly. The treasure hunt used for this lesson was from Maths Box. A range of activities have been included. I teach 3 very different Year 8 classes so each one was used for a different purpose.

Applying Circle Theorems

Used this with a top set Year 9 class where they just needed more practice applying the theorems. Used in an observation and received and outstanding. The RAG questions were just from Corbett Maths Exam Style Questions which I RAGed myself (very easy to do!). Treasure Hunts were from Maths Box. A lot of work to be completed could easily be used for a double lesson. Let me know what you think!

I created this for my very low ability Year 8's. It is just a starting point to help students identify the C F and Z angles. Seemed to work really well, the students seemed to be really invested after the starter! Any feedback would be fab!
