<p>A set of activities designed to get students thinking about the thoughts and feelings of soldiers during a war. This is based on World War 1 and has a cloze activity, analysis of a diary entry, drawing what a soldier would look like and a larger task: descriptive writing about an image of going ‘over the top’. Made for lower-abilities and has sentence starters, guided questions, etc.</p>

<p>A worksheet with descriptions of each character taken from the opening stage directions of the play, and stage directions within the characters’ lines.<br /> The task is to use the descriptions given to draw a picture of each character and also the setting of the Birling family home then add an important quote from the play for each character.<br /> Characters included are: Arthur Birling, Sybil Birling, Sheila Birling, Eric Birling, Gerald Croft and Inspector Goole.</p>

<p>A worksheet with 7 tasks to guide students through gathering ideas for their story, different adjectives to use, deciding on a title, characters and storyline, then finally writing their story and creating a picture to go with it. Made for lower-abilities (chunked tasks, sentence starters, etc.)</p>

<p>A document with the basic knowledge needed for AQA Language Papers 1 and 2.<br /> This includes: what the exam contains, word classes and definitions, language and strucutural techniques and their definitions, and sentence starters for Q2, 3, and 4.</p> <p>This is designed to be printed double-sided on A3 paper but it will look okay (if a bit small!) on A4.</p> <p>I have also attached an enlarged-font version for students who may need this - this is designed to be printed as a set of sheets rather than a mat.</p>

<p>A set of activities based around heroes, including what a hero is, what personality traits a hero has, what they might look like and personal heroes. The smaller tasks lead up to a main task of writing a letter to nominate their personal hero for ‘Hero of the Year’. Created for lower-abilities (sentence starters, chunked tasks, etc.)</p>
