A sheet which outlines a list of complex structures to use to make writing and speaking more complex. We give it at the start of Year 10 (or to high ability students at KS3) and get them to constantly refer to it throughout the course.

It’s divided into points to make it clear which structures are more ‘valuable’ and which to add in to aim for the top grades.

Some further sample role-plays in Spanish. Taken from Edexcel Sample Assessment Materials for Portuguese. Spanish isn’t my main teaching language so it’s possible this contains some errors.

A concise sheet for students and parents to use to review their mock results. Contains breakdown of each mark, space for targets and tips to focus on each area. Most of the other resources mentioned on the sheet are available on this TES account.

This is a sheet teachers in our department use to reflect on how their class performed in GCSE mock exam and which specific areas need to be worked on. TLR holders and HoD then collate this information and use to plan for coming months.

A resource to use to get student used to navigating around an authentic website, using the homepage of Galeria department store. Useful to develop scanning skills (coping with lots of vocab they don’t know to find correct answer) as well as revising common GCSE vocabulary (clothes, furniture etc).

Aimed at Y9 or Y10 but could be adapted for younger or older year groups.
