This was used as a 60-minute lesson for IGCSE Global Perspectives, as we got our students to think more on the topic of Sustainability, in preparation for their mini Individual Report. It is important to note that we showed only the first 10 minutes of the documentary, and spent the rest of the lessons on a pair and whole class discussion.

While we focus more on teaching skills, this documentary served as a useful resource for the students to gain exposure to this topic, and subsequently to do more research on other (luxury) items that could threaten the sustainability of our environment.

This resource contains 4 sets of Powerpoint slides and 4 worksheets, which were used in a 4-lesson English enrichment programme (conducted on Zoom) where 6-8 year olds were introduced to the following Shel Silverstein poems:

Sick

Homework Machine

Runny Babbit

Eighteen Flavours

In some of the worksheets, if they look like duplicates, that was because I was trying to (somewhat) differentiate the work for the different abilities in the small group that I had.
