Using the '2016 teacher assessment exemplification: KS2 English writing, working at the expected standard', published 8/2/16, this checklist is a helpful prompt for children. It can be laminated and given to children, or stuck into books to aid marking and feedback, with opportunities for self and teacher assessment. Each criterion also has its own full page slide for use on the whiteboard or for display on a working wall.
This resource contains a series of challenges for the children to use in order to create an interactive quiz using Scratch. <br />
The main presentation contains an editable version of all of the files. It can be broken down into 4 stages, each of which has the main challenge (for most learners), a prompt sheet (containing the lines of code, but not in sequence for some learners) and the answers. Each file is also available as a separate pdf for making available to the children as an electronic resource.<br />
The aim for the unit of work is to create a series of questions for others to answer, some of which will be supported by accompanying images that the children will create. This is an ideal Computing activity to sit alongside another topic, especially English or Maths revision.
The activity file contains a range of statements about the cost of keeping a dog. Use the PowerPoint file to share differentiated learning objectives/ targets with the children and then ask them to work through the statements in the Word file. The children should then organise their own work to present to others the cost of keeping a dog over a year. This problem requires a wide range of arithmetic, as well as reasoning skills in order to organise learning and to present to others. Perfect open ended investigation for upper Key Stage 2 children.
This is a set of resources to accompany an upper KS2 Geography project entitled Planet Earth. Each activity has an online resource and a set of differentiated success criteria. The activities are open ended, with a heavy wrting element, designed to promote thinking skills across a range of curricular areas. This can be adapted for use in class or as support for a homework project, or as an independent project.<br />

When shared with an Ofsted team, they commented that it was 'a really good resource'
A must have for any Ancient Greek topic work - 10 activities with differentiated success criteria. Each activity is designed so that research is needed, and weblinks are provided, and that there will be a significant writing outcome. Very useful for homework or for setting expectations of classwork.
Use the 'blank' file as a task for the pupils. The PowerPoint file contains a screenshot of the blocks of code to use and the task, as well as an extension activity.
