<p>An activity focusing on the character of Bill Sykes from Oliver Twist. Students make inferences based on an image and then answer differentiated questions on an extract from the novel.</p>
<p>An exploration of the character of Ophelia in the play ‘Hamlet’. Two lessons which consist of prior recall and close analysis of Act 1; Scene 3 and Act 3; Scene 1. Students work on answering a question on “How is Ophelia presented?”</p>
<p>In this lesson, students investigate the evidence behind the authorship debate and whether Shakespeare really was the man behind his plays. The aim of this lesson is to develop comprehension and evaluating skills for the students. It is done as a police investigation with 4 prime suspects including Christopher Marlowe.</p>
