<p>A revision ppt made for year 13 students after studying the poetry of Sylvia Plath and Ted Hughes for Eduqas A level specification in year 12. I paired the poems weekly and set 10 questions on each for homework, then asked for links/connections. There are 27 poems covered here - a question slide then answer slide for self marking or however you wish to use it. Links were discussed in class.</p>

<p>KS3 Scheme analysing First World War poetry:<br /> Who’s for the Game? - Jessie Pope<br /> Base Details - Siegfried Sassoon<br /> Dulce Et Decorum Est - Wilfred Owen</p> <p><strong>Objective: To understand how writers use language and structure to achieve effects and influence readers, using relevant subject terminology.</strong></p> <p>Includes power points and hand-outs.<br /> Designed to take students on a journey through context, the views of those at home, the detached Majors away from the front to the front itself whilst also touching on the relationship between Sassoon and Owen.<br /> Includes a variety of activities - comprehension, creative writing, close analysis of language and structure, self and peer assessment, writing frames, model paragraphs etc.<br /> Ends with an assessment on Dulce Et Decorum Est and how it presents the horrors of war.<br /> Assessment objectives and criteria are based on the AQA specification.</p>
