After seeing many social media posts of ‘Ten Albums’ that influenced me, I have made this resource which asks students to choose 6-8 songs which best reflect their personality and why. There is plenty of scope to mix this with a media or art project or an extended written project for Yr 9/ GCSE. I hope you enjoy - I have had good responses during Lockdown.
This was designed as a desk based lesson for Year 7 to recap knowledge of Music and life in the Middle Ages. There is a power point and an accompanying worksheet. Both can be edited to suit your classes needs or used as they are.
Full question for Section B.
Mozart K452 & Billie Holiday.
Does not include Audio files. Mark schemes can be taken from the Supplementary Booklet provided by OCR.

Activity 1: Design a music page for a website
Activity 2: My life in a nutshell - research and interview/hot seat a famous musician.
Students are asked to think about instruments and how they produce a sound.
The main task is to design a brand new instruments - a hybrid. What would it look like? How would it sound? How would it be played? What would it be called?
The powerpoint is a visual to accompany.
Designed for a cover/fun filler lesson at the end of term. Takes about 30 minutes.
Answers are included on slides.
