I prepared this as an introductory lesson to the Proeins unit for AQA Biology and AQA Additional Science.
Hopefully it may save you some time and you'll find it useful.
A worksheet that I hope will save time in the classroom making lots of notes. It's designed to use with the Nelson Thornes Biology textbook, but most textbooks will cover this
This powerpoint is designed to hopefully stimulate class discussion on sustainable development with GCSE students.
My class followed up this with paired presentations on a particular aspect of sustainable development
My students have been worried about what practical skills they might be asked in the final exams. These are some notes I've created for them going over the 12 Skills covered in the PAG tasks.

Thank you so much for those who have downloaded this resource. I'd be really interested if you would be so kind as to give me some feedback.
This is a resource aimed to cover OCR Biology A, but could be used with other specifications. Students should be able to complete the worksheet independently after a brief introduction.

These revision notes are tailored to the OCR Biology A specification, but may be of use to teachers of other specifications.

I have included notes on each parts of the specification including links back to protein synthesis (from Module 2) and 2 past paper Qs with mark scheme.

I hope you will find it useful with your classes and saves you time.

Here are 10 sets of keywords each one contains 20 definitions of keywords which the students must read and then complete the missing term.

Each set is differentiated - one blank version and one with the first letter included as well as the answers.

These terms are universal across all specifications.

I am going to use them weekly with my Year 11 as we start to revise for the final exams

A set of revision notes I made for my students to summarise the main concepts and techniques tested in this unit. I tried to include enough diagrams to help their understanding.
I have also included a set of past paper questions and mark schemes for practise.
The notes are tailored to OCR Biology A but the techniques are common to most specifications.

Here is a worksheet for independent learning of the types of plant growth regulators and their effects. It also covers commercial uses of plant hormones.

I’ve also included a ppt and past paper questions for OCR and AQA

This is a practical way I hope your students will enjoy to investigate the allele and genotype frequencies over 5 generations using normal and chocolate cheerios to represent 'fish&' in a lake!
Here is a list of most of the keywords from the new AQA specification that I am going to use for revision with my Year 11's. Hopefully you may find it useful too!
