Edexcel 9-1: Superpower Relations and the Cold War 1941 - 1991
I have created the first four lessons to support the delivery of Paper 2, Superpower Relations and the Cold War 1941 - 1991 from the new Edexcel specification, (9-1).

The lessons start by putting Europe into context in 1941, and outlining how the allies manage to force Hitler into unconditional surrender in 1945. The lessons also focus on why the Grand Alliance was a 'marriage of convenience' and how the relationship between the 'big three' began to break down by the end of the Postdam conference.
The lessons include worksheets, video clips, thinking tasks, and exam questions based on the reformed exam questions on the new specification.

The lessons attached go up to the Truman Doctrine and the Marshall Plan, and are ideal for any teacher wishing to start this next year as part of a two year GCSE course.
