Whole-school Tier 2 Vocabulary: Pt 1, Year 7

Part 1 (Year 7) of a huge whole-school literacy resource, teaching Tier 2 English words to Years 7- 11, in weekly A-Z units. Clear images/differentiation.
Why not buy this Year 7 section for £1 and then see if you want to buy the bundle. 90 short lessons in total, 18 for each year-group - ideal for tutor time sessions over a year / 5 years, or as a series of English lesson vocabulary starters. I have bundled each year’s 18 lessons into one powerpoint, for ease of downloading. This resource is inspired by Alex Quigley’s book ‘Closing the Vocabulary Gap’ (2018): thus differentiation is a critical element, as the aim is to give ‘word poor’ students more tools to access the more complex reading content in the current curriculum, whilst still stretching pupils who are already ‘word rich’. Revision tests are built in to each lesson; in my school, pupils have been using the notes pages on their phones to keep a record of the words/definitions they’ve chosen to learn, for revision over the year.
