This powerpoint includes 23 different rehearsal techniques designed to explore the following; -characterisation -relationships -exits/entrances/use of stage space -chorus/ensemble -language/text Each slide include the aims of each technique, a description of how to run technique, and an equipment list. Each rehearsal technique is colour coded in order to identify which of the areas listed above it is most suitable for. It can be used to help students to develop their work for the Edexcel GCSE course in Component 1 and 2, either as part of their portfolio or practical investigation and development. Similarly, it can be used for the AS, and A Level course.

This is a fantastic introduction for students who are new to Drama Education in a secondary school environment. I use it with year 7 in their first half term (Sep-Oct). This SOW is designed for KS3 students as an introduction to the main performance skills as outlined in the Edexcel GCSE 1-9 spec. The SOW guides students through a series of tasks where they apply the performance skills in a range of ways to communicate meaning.
