Revision exam question-based lesson, which covers a range of sections from the biopsychology topic of AQA A level Psychology.
Revision checklist, Exam Q booklet and accompanying ppt all included.

Students begin with answering some MCQs by themselves, then we work on crafting model answers to some application questions, then they look at some more questions independently.

I print the exam questions out for students as a booklet (attached) and then we mark together. All answers are on the ppt and the exam Qs used are all past AQA exam questions.

I also have a wider reading slide in most of my lessons and a Do It Now activity at the start for retrieval practice. For this lesson the Do It Now was to complete a RAG revision checklist, which is also attached.

Psychology application questions practice

A complete, distinct lesson that I use to help students improve their application skills in psychology.

Step by step guidance on how to plan and write responses to application questions, very useful to deliver early on in year 12 but also as a revision session. This skill is very challenging for A level psychology students and this resource really helps them to build on this.

Psychology revision day- essay skills and design a study Qs

FREE RESOURCE:

I used this as a 3 hour revision morning for year 13 students. The Qs have a Paper 1 and Paper 2 focus, but the emphasis is on developing skills rather than just going through content.

There are different sections to the session: 1 is looking at essay writing and includes addressing common mistakes, how to plan an essay effectively and then marking essays and comparing this to examiner marking.

The other theme is the ‘design a study Qs’, where students use the brilliant tutor2u free sample to look at a worked answer of this Q, then work in groups with teacher support to design studies to a range of Qs

Hope this is helpful, please leave a review as would love feedback on any of my resources :)
