Stretch and challenge should be offered through targeted questioning as appropriate for students (HA, G&amp;T).</p> <p>Source A comes from one of Charles Darwin’s letters; Source B comes from a PETA article.</p>

<p>Five lessons for Q1-Q3 in AQA Language Paper 2, three lessons with more scaffolding for students who need more support (LA or SEND) and two lessons with stretch and challenge (HA, G&amp;T).</p> <p>One lesson focuses on the effect of the writer’s use of pronouns; another lesson focuses on the effect of using emotive language; all lessons include timed exam practice and a focus on exam literacy.</p>

<p>A lesson aimed to introduce the poem ‘Ozymandias’ to a Y10 group. Originally designed for a high ability group with weaknesses in writing up analysis. A ‘follow on’ resource introducing ‘My Last Duchess’ is available to buy and includes comparison material for MLD &amp; Ozymandias.</p> <p>Full lesson with resources. <p>A resource for the novel Divergent aimed at pupils who need additional challenge to extend their writing and independently analyse short quotations. Originally developed for a top Year 7 set.</p>

<p>A lesson introducing the poem My Last Duchess, including details on form/structure/language. Originally designed for a top set Y10 class, following on from my resource on Ozymandias, and includes a brief venn diagram comparison of Ozymandias and the Duke from MLD.</p>

<p>Eight lessons that have been designed for Year 8 on the topic of writing to argue. These have been made for students that will sit the AQA GCSE English Language qualification.</p> <p>Resources are included at the end of each PowerPoint.
