These are two revision mats I have produced for my students to support them with their revision of Learning Aim A and B for the Level 3 BTEC unit 2 exam.

My students find these very useful when trying to recap key concepts to support their revision and identifying areas of strength and weakness.

Revision mats for learning aim A, B and C looking at the key pieces of information required to pass the Level 3 Unit 1 Human Lifespan Development Exam

I have created revision Mats to support students with R018 from LO1 to LO5

There is also a revision bingo for stretch and challenging students which links to these revision mats/ knowledge organisers

This powerpoint goes through past exam questions that have come up worth 10 marks. The questions start off with guidance from the mark scheme and with model answers and they then go through with scaffolding and timers for the questions until students are able to answer the questions within 10 minutes.

The revision tool is aimed at increasing students confidence to answer 10 mark questions including all the information they require to gain high marks.

This could be taught over a series of lessons and is not designed to be taught in a one hour period.

Feedback from students since taking the May 2019 paper- these lessons on the 10 markers were a valuable support. Students were able to use the allocated time and felt their answers were more structuredd. Sudents were able to include relevant Theories into their responses even when questions did not indicate a requirement to

Here are two knowledge organisers I have put together for my students to allow them to complete self quizing homework that we use as out homework within the school that I teach. Students use the knowledge organisers to create their own set of 10 questions every week and self quiz on the subject knowledge for the units of work they are studying within each of their subject areas.

This has been proven to improve their recall of the knowledge and understanding of the key pieces of information the students need to know.

We also use low stake quizing at the beginning of each lesson to further test students knowledge and understanding of the units/ topics being taught within our lessons and students find the knowledge organisers very useful to understand what they are learning about, what is coming next so they can pre learn where needed.

I have designed a series of revision mats for R021 to support students with their revision of the key topics covered within the teaching content.

These are designed to refresh students memories of the key concepts and ideas covered within the exam to then support them in answer past exam questions and prompting them on the topics they are less confident on and need to spend time revising further.

I also have some revision mats available for R018 for the level 1/2 child development course so please also check these out if this is a course you deliver

This is a resources that includes THREE revision booklets I produced for my students using the May 2017, June 2018 and January 2019 exam papers.

The idea of the booklets is to train the students to think about how to answer the exam questions by giving them additional tasks to carry out to support their answers to the exam questions and gives them the structure required for the longer/ higher marked questions.

The exam questions from the paper have the marks allocated in brackets after the question. Any additional questions have been given to the students to get them thinking about what additional information they require to allow them to effectively answer the questions.

I use these booklets with the students along with the markscheme for these exam paper which can be downloaded from the Pearson website.

I will be producing more booklets like this to go along with more recent papers so please also look out for these.

Here are five simple knowledge organisers that I have put together for my students to show them what knowledge and content they need to understand for their R018 exam. Students have used these to develop self quizes for their homeswork, to test each other in peer assessment and to develop revision cards to help support their revision prior to their exams.

We use knowledge organisers within the school I teach at for all year groups as a way of promoting self quizing to encourage students to test their knowledge and understanding on a weekly basis around the topics they are covering in their lessons each week and students find them a very useful too for recapping units of work they have previously been over and may have forgotten.

This is a game of bingo i devised for my higher ability students to get them to revise the content of R018 using a range of activities.

I give students prize for a line, another for two lines and then a full house.

This task sheet allows students to go through each of the learning objectives individually and identify the topics that are either a strength or a weakness. STudents then have a task where they are to choose one of the weaknesses and have to use a textbook or another resources to research and identify FIVE key pieces of information around that weakness that they will learn and remember in preparation for the exam.
