Attached are two extracts from the Roald Dahl book 'The Twits', with supporting comprehension questions (AF2 and AF3). I made these to use with a lower ability year 5 guided reading group.
Here is a simple word classes game that I use in KS2 SPaG lessons. It is differentiated 3 ways with 3 different spinners and 3 sets of 30 cards. I get my class to use a paperclip and a pencil to create the spinner dial. Enjoy!
A simple board game, differentiated two ways, to reinforce the concept of multiples. Complete with rules for each game. I laminated these and had my year five class play in their maths groups, using counters and dice from the classroom.
A bingo game for upper ks2/ lower ks3. There are a set of 24 bingo cards, which are fractions that are not in their simplest form. The teacher reads out the card, and the children simplify the fraction and place a counter on the simplified version if it is on their card. There are 12 different bingo boards.
This is a game I created to consolidate understanding of factors and square numbers once we had come to the end of the topic. Attached is the game itself, the rules (2 sets on the page as I created multiple games for my class), some cards needed (the square number cards) and a spinner. I used it with my year 5 class and they really enjoyed it.
Here are some top trumps cards for either a space topic, or science unit in key stage 2. I had my class research the information, add it to the cards, cut out and play. Enjoy!
Attached are some differentiated number sequence cards. I printed, laminated and cut these out as part of a number sequences year 5 maths lesson. They include a range of number types, including fractions and decimals. Appropriate for higher level 3-4.
